About this Course

Presented by Sheila Dodd, Accredited Speaker with Home Children Canada. Sheila will be giving a brief history about the BHC child migration scheme and some of the sending agencies and receiving homes that placed children in the area. Sheila will focus on children placed in the area and those that ended up living here. By using actual local case studies, Sheila hopes to bring some of these indentured servants and labourers stories to life and show the challenges that most British Home Children faced once in Canada.
